I picked up some mail before heading off for the day. This note was a lovely letter from my partner. That's definitely going into my keepsake box!
I noticed a Cove Invasion event was going on, so I decided to head for that and see what damage I could do. (spoiler alert: negligible)
The event was still fun to watch. I snagged a few tamers' animals' lore info in the hopes of training my own pets. Copying is the sincerest form of flattery, after all! ;)
In the end, I received three random powerscroll deeds and 36 event tokens. The powerscroll deeds didn't give anything promising, so I'm probably going to pass these off to Mr. White.
I finally set up some Carpentry goods vendors. I've had various carpentry craftables waiting in bags for about a year now, waiting for a vendor to put them on. We can discuss my horrible procrastination problems some other time, okay? I can stop being a procrastinator any time I want!
I went lumberjacking for about ten minutes, just to make sure I don't run out of wood while working on my next project...
I also took a moment to sacrifice my fame. 2-3 more sacrifices and I'll be a knight, woot!
That, of course, led me to more hiryu hunting until another player came by. I tend to leave the hiryus for other players when I notice them stopping by. I have so many other things I can do, I don't mind how busy this place can get.
I started up a test server to build a quick proof of concept keep. Once the house was mostly set, I called my partner and we enacted The Great House Shuffle of 2023.
The House Shuffle took a lot longer than I was expecting. I needed to clear out my vendors first. Yes, including the ones I had finally set up for the first time today. Sigh. Once I had that done, I transferred the Luna house to Partner and ran off to claim my keep.
Placing the keep plot was easier said than done. *grumbles about 'no build' periods while mindlessly retrying to place her keep*
While I waited for the no build period to end, I started on setting up my vendors. Again.
While doing this, Partner and I noticed some of the IDOC markings on the ground and a few visitors running around outside. I paid them no heed - I was on a vendor stocking mission.
Shortly after I finished the vendors, I was finally able to place the keep plot.
Imagine my surprise when the large marble next to the Luna house fell, bringing with it a bunch of mobs demanding our rears for supper!
Thus began an hour-long battle... to many deaths. Mainly ours. Other players with much more powerful builds and pets were here, fortunately, so there were moments of near-peace to tend our wounds and discard the last of our pride.
I don't think I got very much, in the end. As I recall, the house was a secondary house used for vendors by the former owner.
Shortly after this house fell, the castle I mentioned in a previous post, East of the moongate, fell. I was too tired to concentrate on another battle, so I set my sights on my other project. *mischievous laughter*
I hopped off shortly before midnight, having barely finished decorating the first floor of the keep. Most of my progress has been halted, however, as there are some other things I need to do before I can progress. *mysterious mumbles while she carts her bag of Excel sheets off to bed*
