UOAlive Day 438: 120 Taming and Honor Hunting

I sold several natural dyes overnight, so I stocked those before starting my adventures for the day.

I've had the necessary 120 powerscrolls in my tamer's bank box for months now. I dragged my feet on using the powerscrolls since my 115 skill cap seemed to work just fine. With all of the dragon wolf taming, however, I've been itching to max out my taming to prevent all of the failures I kept having.

Masteries have made the endgame skill grind for quite a lot of skills miles easier. It took about fifteen minutes to train my taming and lore to  120.

Then I spent about an hour honor killing hiryus. I know I'm not fighting the hiryus using the most efficient means for honor gains, and my character's build does not lend itself towards easy honor gains, but so far my gains have been at a bearable pace.

I was able to achieve Follower of Honor before hopping off for the day.

UOAlive Day 437: Vesper Invasions & Treasure Maps

This morning I spent some time participating in the Vesper Invasion. I got some bronze and dull copper granite out of it, too, so I'm a happy camper.

The rest of my day was spent digging up treasure chests. I've had several hoard and trovel level maps that have been taking up space in the Davies Locker, and today seemed as good a day as any to whittle those down, so my partner and I grabbed our shovels and went on our way.

We kept having great luck with dragon wolf spawns, so we were able to add to our stash of tamed dragon wolves.

I have to admit, treasure maps are much more fun when you have somebody with you. Not to mention faster!

UOAlive Day 436: Honor Hunting and Cotton Spinning

I spent most of my day honor hunting the hiryus. At one point my partner hopped on and we hunted together.

Once we got bored of hunting hiryus, I moved on to converting cotton to spools of thread. I want to start making sure I have enough cloth and leather for the next Artisan Festival. I have a basic idea of what I used in terms of money, resources, and BODs last year, so I'm trying to make sure I have more than that, plus enough to do regular BOD runs for my vendor.

UOAlive Day 435: Seeker of Honor, SOS Fishing, Treasure Hunting, & More!

The neighbors have been spending a lot of time hanging out at their plot skilling. It reminds me of my first few weeks on the server.

Back when I placed my plot, I diverted customizing funds to my main castle and kept the plot plain for a couple of weeks. One of the neighbors talked to Snow and asked her if the owner of my plot needed gold in order to customize the home, and we started playfully referring to that player as the HOA of the area.

Now I'm getting anxious and curious about what my new vendor is going to do with their house, hehe.

I dug up a few more treasure maps.

The Holy Grail Lap Harp I got, with Dragon & Demon slayer, has proven invaluable for the hoard and trove treasure maps' guardians.

Once I got bored of treasure maps, I thought I would spend some time fishing up SOS chests.

Once I was bored of treasure maps, I escorted some more knights to Castle British.

I've noticed a new-to-me guild, D20, slowly grow in numbers in the Blessed areas of Britain. I'm curious what kind of guild they are, because I don't see most of these names anywhere in the (admittedly low end) content I do.

I managed to get Seeker of Honor in about half an hour of honoring hiryus. I don't know how feasible this will be later on in Honor farming, but I'm happy so far!

My partner asked for one of those experimental Adventurer+ suits, so I left him a bag in his mailbox. No, I didn't charge him. I have essentially commandeered the man's main house for my vendors. It's the least I can do. :)

UOAlive Day 434: Petty Complaints, Imbuing, Stocking, Skilling, Virtues.... Then Lunch.

First on my list today is a very serious complaint (not really). When I sell Scrolls of Alacrity the Vendor Sales History has no way of showing what specific type was sold. I have to use my brain and look at the gaps in stock and guess what went there! *gasp*

I've been incredibly lucky with the amount of dragon wolves that have spawned while I've been running Treasure Chests. I'm curious what they're worth - I might sell them.

I spent some time imbuing this morning. I've decided to expand my suit offerings now that I've discovered the power of imbuing.

I caught this humorous moment in chat. I think many of us can relate to this experience.

I spent some time stocking and rearranging my vendors.

While stocking my vendors, I realized I couldn't transfer my Imbuing to my main Crafter (skill cap issue), nor could I transfer my carpentry to my imbuer (skill cap issue). Solution? Guess I'll train carpentry on my imbuer. LOL I'm glad I've spent some time farming wood recently.

Once I had carpentry trained up to Grandmaster, I made several soulforges to keep the vendors stocked for a while.

Then it was time to do my daily escorts. I'm so close to Knight in Compassion!

While waiting in between escorts, I caught a new player who needed a pet resurrection.

I was pleasantly surprised to find him wearing my handiwork!

This was the ultimate dream of my little crafter heart as a child. I wanted to be one of those well-known crafters and casually find my own handiwork on passerby players.

I experimented a bit with how much I could put onto an adventurer's suit using imbuing and threw the results on a vendor. I don't know how the pricing is. I may have to play with it a bit as I refine the differences between suit stats and prices. I also haven't run hard numbers on what it costs me to make these suits. I need to do that one of these days.

I continued rearranging and restocking my vendors. The suit vendor was moved back and expanded to two vendors. The carpentry goods vendor expanded into two vendors. I'm still not 100% happy with the vendor layout, but I figure I'll arrange everything better as time goes on.

This succubus was a special succubus.

It was the last succubus to get me to Knight of Sacrifice! Woot! I'm  really happy with how fast I managed to do it.

I finished my night with some more treasure maps. I don't know why I'm doing this. I really don't need more unsorted clutter filling up the meager storage space I have in my houses LOL. Maybe I should set aside the loot for mass disenchanting. Hmmm.... decisions...

UOAlive Day 433: 120 Imbuing and Exploding Vendors

I couldn't get the 120 Imbuing scroll quest to cycle, so I ended up using a scroll binder to get a 120 powerscroll. I'm surprised at how fast I gained imbuing just making basic starter suits.

While running around Britain, I noticed a vendor that kept exploding. I admired the spectacle for a moment before continuing off on other adventures. Namely filling runebooks, because I'm tired of running. :P

UOAlive Day 432: Fireworks Cats

The first thing I do every morning is check the vendors to see if they have any critical needs for restocking. I cannot reiterate how amazing the vendor sales history is.

I ran a few treasure maps with my partner. Having two people made these chests a lot easier.

I still managed to die LOL

I decided to keep this in my bank as a constant reminder of how squishy my character is.

I took some time to collect my own fireworks cat tamed statuettes(?).

Basically, if you tame the fireworks cats and leash them fast enough, you'll end up with a cool colored cat statuette. The cats will disappear if you try to unleash them, so they're more decorative than anything.

The server crashed while I was doing this, and I decided to move on to other adventures in case my cat collecting was the cause. (it turned out not to be, but I didn't know that at the time)

I took some time to craft a few Starter Suits. I could've sworn I had more imbuing base ingredients than I currently have. I'm hoping I can find more, otherwise my suit stocking may have to slow down.

To free up some space in my tamer's bank, I set up a temporary box for my colored cat goodies.

I don't know what I'll do with these cats. Maybe I should set up a stray cat sanctuary :P

UOAlive Day 431: Vendors, Virtues, and Treasure Maps

I tidied up my vendors' offerings this morning. I'll probably expand in the next week or two.

I also escorted a few more NPCs...

...murdered some murderers for Justice virtue...

...and sacrificed my Fame. I'm so close to maxing this out! Then I'll only have to worry about it once a week, yay!

Hiryus have continued to be plagued by my constant bardic barrages. There's another bard I've been seeing in the area occasionally. I'm happy to see so many bards when I'm out and about! :D

I decided to dig up some Treasure Maps. It's been a while and I haven't experienced the changes put in place to the loot several months ago, so I've been curious to test them out. I'm only at 3 million on my main account, too, so I've been wanting to work on replenishing the gold spent during the Great House Shuffle.

These particular ones were troves and hoards, so I needed to be extra careful in handling the mobs. Because the game loves me so much, these particular chests where on tiny islands in the middle of nowhere.

This one was easier than I thought it would be, once the chest was dug up. I used the ship to get some physical distance while I provoked the mobs on each other.

Someone made a request for more repair deeds to be added at the Community Rune Library, so I took some time to refill what I could before hopping off for the night.
