With October brings the beginning of many holiday events across the world! On UOAlive it's no different.
I began my festivities by attempting the same going Gumshoe quest I've attempted in the past, but I ran in to the same issues I had last time. I've since figured out what I was missing, but I'm too annoyed to want to revisit the quest any time soon.
I've successfully fermented some grape wine! Unfortunately each bottle counts as an individual item, so I'd rather keep all of the bottles stored in the barrel until I decide to use them. I guess I'm going to have to work towards getting more fermentation gear placed here!
While going on my adventures I managed to pick up a few more daily rares.
Since my original Going Gumshoe plan didn't work out, I decided to put some work into training my begging skill. When Trick or Treating, only GM beggars have a chance to receive special decorative items. The admins say most of these activities will be active through November, so we have time. I just want to get most of the grinding out of the way, because begging is notoriously hard to train.
To break up the monotony, I also took some time to kill nightmares. There are legendary nightmare variants that can evidently be trained up to be pretty powerful, but usually all of the major nightmare spawn points are camped by a particularly determined tamer who is trying to get their own legendary nightmare. I only managed to kill a few before a different tamer moved in. Not that I have a problem with that - I'm not as invested in collecting some of these things as other players on the server are, so I don't mind letting them have their chance over my sporadic attempts.
Before I got off for the night, a deathly invasion hit the Moonglow cemetery.
In the end I ended up with some decorative fall and Halloween themed items to use in my houses.
